I didn't know anything about the Lake's history and now I do. I find it so interesting. I love living at the lake and I think anyone who has never been to the lake should deffinintly visit...you'll love it! | ||

growing up as kids
every summer went
to harveys Lake
with my NANA &
BEBOP they rented a
cottage on the Lake
and i was younger
then my brother and
my brother used to
go skiing on the
lake with a famous
water skiier that
water skied at a
water garden in
Florida, i do
beleive last name
was Davis, i as a
kid used to love to
go to hansons park
and go on the merry
go round to catch
the brass ring and
win a free ride on
the merry-go-round
and i used to love
the wooden roller
coaster there as
well, alot of happy
moments there in
Harveys Lake, its a
shame all that
still cant be
there. | ||

It is great! I
spent summer
vacations at The
Lake as a child and
well into my teens.
One story which I
heard from my Dad
was about the man
who made a diving
helmet out of a
boiler. The story
went that he was
dropped down in the
lake with a weight
attached and when
they pulled him up
he was dead. My
Dad said a group of
people tried to
revive him, but it
was too late. He
said that he was
there and was
rubbing his feet to
try to get his
circulation going.
I have seen a
newspaper article
on this, but
wondered if anyone
else remembers this
story. Dad also always talked about the "Grand Daddy" trout that got away many times. He was bound and determined to catch it and claimed he lost his line and pole to it one early morning. We have lots of stories and fond memories of days gone by at Harvey's Lake. We'd love to have a family reunion there someday. Does anyone know of a place we could rent? | ||

We rented a cottage, and my sister Madelyn and I have beautiful memories of our childhood and teen years. Our Mom and Dad, Katheryn and Harold Eike loved the Lake and had many friends there. Please keep up the good work and thank you for memoralizing Harvey's Lake and Hanson's! | ||
