The Harvey's Lake History

About the siteThe materials for this site have been collected over more than 25 years by F. Charles Petrillo, an attorney and local historian living in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Mr. Petrillo has written five books on historical subjects in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Some text on this site has been previously published in his books, Harvey's Lake and Ghost Towns of North Mountain. We regret that we cannot provide copies of these books. Much of the historical detail is the product of extensive first-person interviews. Additional text has been adapted from various source materials including newspapers, magazines, journals and books. All sources have been used by permission. All such material retains its orginal copyright.
